Originally from Boston, MA, Marisa is currently a User Experience Manager for the federal government. Simply put, “I improve digital experiences for people”. A graduate of Spelman College with a B.S. in mathematics, Marisa quickly developed a curiosity for all things math and science and a desire to help people learn and understand those topics. While attending graduate school at Emory University, she worked at Sylvan Learning Center and Kaplan Learning developing math and science test prep curriculums for AP/IB courses. Currently, she works with clients to ensure that they achieve their goals by identifying opportunities and creating solutions. This creative process allows her to tap into her love for math, science and technology in order to build and create new products, services and strategies. Her work has been published in both scientific and tax policy publications and she has also received several Federal Commissioner’s Awards. Outside of work, Marisa is an avid traveler, an active member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. and a devoted volunteer in both her community and at her beloved alma mater, Spelman College. On weekends, she and her husband enjoy taking their French Bulldog to the dog park.
